Registrations to host interns as part of the South Australian Defence Industry Connection Program (DICP) are open!
We are seeking businesses located in South Australia and working in the defence industry supply chain (from SMEs to Primes) to host eligible university students as interns.
SME host companies can receive a payment of up to $2500 for screening, onboarding or placement costs. Students can receive scholarships of up to $7,500.
Ai Group will work with host companies, students and their universities to deliver internship opportunities that suit the needs of both host companies and students. We work with hosts to select eligible interns who match their business needs, with the selection process taking into consideration the host’s placement opportunity and the student’s study plan. We also provide ongoing contact with hosts and students throughout the internship to ensure a positive experience for all involved.
Participating students are usually in their second-last or final year of a STEM degree, and must undertake the internship as part of their coursework. Internships can be offered anytime throughout the year, and can be undertaken either part-time or full-time, with the length varying depending on student’s and host’s requirements.
The DICP is committed to increasing diversity in the defence industry and we are seeking hosts who similarly encourage and promote diversity in their workforce.
